Windows Phone Colombia confirms Windows Phone 7.8 update on the 31st January “for some” phones

Adding more confirmation to the very strong rumour that Microsoft will start rolling out the Windows Phone 7.8 update on the 31st January, Windows Phone Colombia has posted on Facebook that the update will be coming to “some terminals” on the 31st January, and for the rest in Q1 2013.

Earlier information from O2 and Telstra have confirmed that Nokia’s Windows Phones would be the first getting the update, and that other Windows Phones will likely have to wait a while for the roll-out. The update will add features such as the new start screen, more accent colours, the new lock screen, and for Nokia’s handsets software additions like the ability to send files via Bluetooth and turn music into ring tones.
