How to Make Yourself Custom Windows 8 Tiles

This program is meant to create tile to the windows 8 start screen.

I created this in vb.net using SharpDevelop, it works for all programs/folder/files and even websites.

The program will store the image files inside the folder "C:\ProgramFiles\OblyTile" and create the Shortcut .LNK file inside the StartMenu folder.

If you want to delete a Tile, right click it on the startmenu and select "Remove From Start" on the left bottom side.

Old Version:
OblyTile v0.5
OblyTile v0.7/0.7.1

Latest Version:
OblyTile v0.8

ChangeLog:
  • Added support for dynamic colour.
  • Added Basic Color Selection Dialog.
  • Added Command Line Arguments support (run OblyTile with /? command to see the list of commands).
  • Added a debug function that generates a Debug File with some information on your system use it in case OblyTile doesn't work for you, and send me the generated file, it will help me improve OblyTile. (run OblyTile with -Debug command to generate the file.)
  • Program Path now supports special characters.
  • Fixed a small issue with Program Arguments.

Note Issues:
If tiles are not showed properly (a normal icon is showed) just open OblyTile and wait 5 seconds, it will rebuild the cache.
Command Line Arguments could not recognize Special Characters on the Program Path.

Tested on:
Windows 8 Professional Build 9200 - 32/64 Bit
Windows 8 Enterprise Build 9200 - 32/64 Bit
