The user-friendly and simple interface contains four tabs - Status, 1-Click Maintenance, Modules - and a menu.

1-Click Maintenance grants you access to fix invalid or incorrect registry entries, remove invalid shortcuts and clean up dangerous startup entries, delete temporary files in order to recover disk space, erase your web browsing history, and remove spyware and adware.

Scanning for this problems can take a while, after which you have to make one single click to fix them. If Glary Utilities failed to repair a problem at the first attempt, then repeat the process until it clears up anything.

For example, in our case, the program found several problems in all categories (Registry Cleaner, Shortcuts Fixer, Startup Manager, Temporary Files Cleaner, Tracks Eraser, Spyware Remover) and most of them were repaired except for 1 problem left in the registry section. A secondary scan later found 14 additional problems in the same area, but Glary Utilities finally managed to fix everything.

Modules contain tools for cleaning and repairing purposes (disk cleaner, uninstall manager), optimizing and improving performance (startup manager, memory optimizer, context menu manager, registry defrag), privacy and security (tracks eraser, file shredder, undeleter, encrypter and decrypter), files and folders (disk analysis, duplicate files finder, empty folders finder, file splitter and joiner) and system tools (process manager, IE assistance, system information, Windows Standard Tools).

Furthermore, you can select which context menus you want to integrate into Explorer, which modules you want displayed, and others. Windows Standard Tools give you access to CheckDisk, Disk Defragmenter, System Restore, System File Checker and Backup.

The bottom line is that Portable Glary Utilities is a great program for cleaning up your computer. It would have been better if it provided other tools instead of those found in Windows, but the program uses a very small amount of system resources, and it is free.
